Depending on your needs, you can use Waterstream on the premises or the cloud.
Use Waterstream on your infrastructure
You can get a license by filling the form below with your email address or mailing a request to sales@waterstream.io. If you don’t receive anything in a few minutes, please check your spam folder or drop us a message.
The development license is limited to 100 concurrent clients and 3 Waterstream nodes. If you need to evaluate Waterstream with more clients, send us a message to get a customized license.
Waterstream requires Apache Kafka to work; if you don’t have a running Kafka cluster yet, you can use our playground project to set up our playground project a complete environment for you.
The full documentation for Waterstream is available at https://doc.waterstream.io. Still, we provide support through our forum and by email support@waterstream.io
Use Waterstream on cloud
Still, you need to provide a Kafka cluster or use Confluent Cloud. Waterstream does not have a development license on the cloud, but you can try it for free with an unlimited number of clients for 30 days*. After that deadline, you will pay Waterstream as you go as any other AWS service.
To make it easier for you to setup Waterstream on AWS, we prepared a convenience Cloudformation project.
We don’t have marketplace solutions for other cloud vendors at the moment, but if you use GCP, we have a handy project to deploy Waterstream with no effort.
Use Waterstream on your Raspberry (or for your hobby project)
In this case, you want to download our Docker DevBox distribution that contains Waterstream, Kafka, and a friendly dashboard to monitor MQTT activity. This image is available also for the ARM64 architecture
*AWS infrastructure costs still apply
